The official St. Lucia Currency is the Eastern Caribbean Dollar.

It has been in existence since 1965 and is also the official currency of the Organisation of the Eastern Caribbean States, which includes five independent states and two British overseas territories.

It is usually abbreviated EC or XCD with a symbol of the standard dollar sign $.

Where Can You Buy Eastern Caribbean Dollars?

In some countries, you can buy foreign currency at your local Post Office.

Depending on where you live, you can buy the Eastern Caribbean Dollar at your local bank.

Your local bank may well end up being the best option for getting the best exchange rates.

Tipping in St. Lucia
